The Girl Who Cried Theif

The Girl Who Cried Thief

Once upon a time there was a teenage girl who was sitting on a bus stop, bored, in New York City.
She called, “Someone’s stealing my purse he’s getting away!” But when an old man came and tried to find him, the girl just laughed.
Ten minutes later the girl said, “Someone’s stealing my purse!”
When the old man came out again the girl just laughed.  Twenty minutes later a large man came and grabbed her purse from her hands and took a run for it. She called for the man but nobody came.
Finally a kind woman near her yelled, “Someone’s stealing this young lady’s purse.”
So the old man came out and got the purse from the man. The teenage girl was crying, “Why didn’t you come when I called you? He could have stolen my money.”
But the old  man sat down next to the girl and said, “Nobody believes a liar, even when they’re telling the truth.”

The Pearl

The theme of "The Pearl" would be loss of innocence because in the beginning of the story the entire family was happy and not exposed to anything that could hurt them. They show loss of innocence with a family of, poor, pearl divers living in a small community in Mexico. Next thing you know the baby is bitten by a scorpion and all craziness happens. Greed is filled in the bones of the family and with never be taken back. Therefor this family has forever lost their innocence..."but she was not satisfied, and greediness let her have no sleep." This family will never be able to start over.
